newbie from the uk

Hello to you all,
I have recently purchased my first rolex, tough decision between sub/ ym anyway opted for the sub 16618,18 ct gold with diamond and sapphire, champagne dial, very pleasing to the eyes imho, so far im very impressed with the quality, workmanship, engineering, that goes into these fine timepieces, i have a few questions to ask at a later date and i will post some pictures.
regards Rickey

Hi Rickey,

Welcome to TRF. Haven't seen some "bling-bling" in quite a while on this forum. Your YG Sub should have quite a few of us drooling all over our keyboards. Post away, pal!! And enjoy your stay on TRF.

Cheers - JJ

Excellent, Rickey!!! If I were to break down and get a watch with precious stones, that would indeed be the one. One usually sees the slate Serti dial, but the champagne dial is superb!!!

Here's my trusty TT Blue, though. I love it!!!

Hi allan,
like the blue dial also, your picture is crisp and clear, do you use ps or is it straight from the camera?

Well Rickey, I take the photo in RAW format with my camera, then pull the photo into a photo browser that supports RAW manipulation and allows me to tweak all of the settings of the unaltered image first, if necessary. Only when the photo is as natural as possible, will I bring it into Photoshop, reduce the resolution from something like 240 dpi to 72 dpi and further reduce the size to forum-friendly, and then save it as a JPG file. I try not to increase the compression of the JPG file so much that it introduces artifacts into the graphic.

Glad you like my Blue TT Sub - I will be looking forward to more photos of your Serti Sub as well.

If you'd bought the black TT sub, you wouldn't need all that manipulation for a great picture.

Let me add my welcome to TRF, Rickey. As others have said, that is a great blingy piece. Glad you like it. Wear it well and enjoy.

Do stick around and join the fun here. As you can see, we have a good time and it doesn't take much to hijack a thread around these parts. But that's all part of our merry madhouse.
