Explorer II help

Hi all, recently I was gifted a second hand Rolex which is my first and I was very excited about.

I do however have a lot of reservations as to whether it is the genuine article.

I would welcome you to take a look at the images attached, photo quality isn’t the best as I don’t have a macro lens but, have done my best.

From my very limited knowledge, the crown isn’t right and the rehaut inscription looks off. Also, I believe there should be a model number inscribed between the lugs at 12 o’clock, this you will see is missing.

Many thanks in advance for your help.

Thanks for your reply, so I was right with what I thought was off.
Any other obvious signs?

Based on the photos and what I have said? Or is there anything else obvious that I have missed?

Missing mode Between lugs is reason enough.

Images are also just a little off / distorted. Especially crown guards.

For a fake such as this it only takes a few seconds to see that it just isn't authentic, and you really don't need to zero into any one thing.

I will say that Rolex has not had a 6 digit serial number for many decades.

I don’t see what relevance that has to what I asked in my post. I came here for advice not sarcastic quips.

It's hard to list what is wrong as EVERYTHING is slightly off.
Kind of like this
