Day Date real or Fake?
There is something that doesn't look right to me. Looks like a NYC knock off.
What is your opinion? https://boston.craigslist.org/gbs/jw...370208443.html |

Hard to tell. Some angles I'd say maybe, some I'd say yes. If it's in the Back Bay there are a few dealers near there. If you're truly interested maybe you could have a dealer agree to help authenticate it.

It’s a fugazi. Look at the day window cut out on the dial.
Lastly, I don’t believe these came with the green chrono tags. |

Hard pass on buying this watch if you are intelligent.
Not to mention the far-away photo's are less than useless. This does not appear to be a genuine Rolex, from something very obvious to me <we are not permitted to discuss "tell-tale issues"> And - you don't even know that the photo's are of the actual item, or may have been 'borrowed' from elsewhere. Purchase your watches only from a reputable dealer, brick-and-mortar reseller, etc. Anything else is a mine field, especially auction sites.

Lack of detailed pictures is always cause for concern.

i would say meet at a dealer or place to authenticate. have the seller pay the cost to authenticate, and you reimburse should it be authentic.
tell them you aren't bringing money but can wire or provide cashiers check at a bank if the sale is to go through |

Too many things wrong with the watch to be genuine.

No!
No, no, no. And why would you ever even try to meet someone to authenticate this pile ? You clearly have internet access, so pull up some real DD pics and look at the dial.

28K for a “mint condition” 40mm DD. Tells you all you need to know.

I didn't even click on your link and I can tell its a fake. No reputable person will list a rolex day date on craigslist. I bet it was a great price too. Stick to reputable dealers. There are no deals - only bad ones
