Incoming…5235r!

I started a thread about the 5235r recently on this page. Thank you to everyone who chimed in with their opinions! I had previously expressed my interest in this reference to my AD a while back. He said that they don’t receive many of this reference, and actually have to be applied for/specifically requested by the dealer.

Well, it arrived recently (subsequently, at the same time as a black dial 116500ln! I posted about this on the Rolex page)

…and I LOVE it!

The 5235r Regulator dial is one of the best modern timepieces that Patek makes. Two-tone regulator style dial with annual calendar, Advanced Research escapement and balance components, and the unique 31-260 micro-rotor movement are among some of the special attributes of this reference. And the dial is really stunning, the way it plays with the light.

Imho, a stunningly beautiful, complicated, modern classic from Patek Philippe!

There’s no lume on this watch. The hands are actually very thin. I believe it’s to keep up with the clean approach of this timepiece, despite the impressive complication.
