7900 only for the fact that I like the dual time / GMT type of function. Really can't go wrong either way.

Is it odd to have a a/pm indicator at 9 position for 7900

I went in with the intention of placing a deposit on a 4500V w/ blue dial and walked out with a deposit on a black dial 7900V. 12 months Vs 4 months wait and i received it 4 weeks ago, the dial with red hands has exceeded my expectations. DT is a useful complication for me as I work in a global team.

That dial is too nice to have it DT on it. I would buy it again as my first choice and get a second DT with black dial.

depends on if you need dual time or not. it is that simple to me. i do think the dual time is more robust than a 3 hander. sometimes you do not need robustness.

I prefer the clean look of the 4500 and have several other gmt so for me it's 4500 but it's a diff story for every wrist! Both are amazing and you can't lose.

Personally I don’t like 12 hour GMT hands that don’t fully hide under the hour hand. I don’t like the sticking-out look. But there’s still an allure

I am not a fan of the 4500 at all. The minute track with the busy rehaut on the vast empty dial just doesn't look right to me plus I don't like the framed date window That watch does nothing for me.

On the other hand, although the 7900 shares some similar design aspects, I think it's the best VC sports watch available. I like the crown with the pusher at 4 o'clock, the date wheel and the position/look of the AM-PM indicator.

If I were to ever get a VC it would be the 7900 no doubt in my mind.

I've never owned either but I'm gunning for a 4500 one day soon! My reasoning is pretty simple. I really don't need anything but a date. I do love the DT design, but it's just not necessary for me. Also I prefer the thinner case.

I like the appearance of the 7900 but the 4500 is significantly thinner. 4500

I can honestly say, this indicator makes it super easy the read the time in your second time zone. It is fabulous to use.

I'd go with the 4500, the other is just too unbalanced to mine eye.

I would pick ths 7900v, the dial looks less empty, original layout and useful complication.
