Still selling Rolex?

I keep a keen eye on Craigslist, and today found an old Explorer that I was willing to take a swing at.
After talking to the seller for a few minutes, I asked for his name. To my surprise, he willingly shared it. One search turned up some ugly history on him.

Just passing this along as a general FYI. Is it possible he's cleaned up and this is a legitimate deal? Sure. But I'm not risking it.

For reference, it's a 1016 listed on Worcester Craigslist in Massachussets.

LOL if anybody goes through with that deal, they deserve what they get. Oh yeah, let me purchase a Rolex from somebody who was just arrested in 2015 and has a near TEN year history of scamming people on the Internet. Sounds very trustworthy!

If you talked to a potential (known) "rip-off artist" for a few minutes , that should be more than enough to pass on the incredible deal. That´s what "scammers" do, they plant the seeds of a deal that is impossible to pass on...........

Did this person "clean up their act"? No one here has a crystal ball and can tell the future, but with so many other potential buying options, why even give it a second thought?

He contacted me today indicating a friend saw this post. Insists it was a legit deal and that a dealer in Boston bought it from him. Wanted this post removed but I feel it best to simply follow-up here.
If someone wants to vouch for this guy, they should probably do so publicly here vs have him ask me to pull comments down. Once you screw several people over it’s tough to come back from that.

His identity and record will always be online. This is the reason why it's not smart to scam others.

I personally wouldn't do ANY deals with a known thief/con artists/scammer. He needs a new line of "work" because his name is mud in the watch business.

Primarily to help unknowing new members steer clear of bogus sellers. Now that OP posted his name again, a simple search will turn this up even in Google search results.

The knowledgeable buyers don’t need it but the section does help newbies.

I understood that, just wasn't clear as to why people would consider dealing with someone known to have scammed others in this line of work previously. Seems mind blowing to me, but to each his own.

For the record, I don't recommend anyone "vouch" for this guy. But he insists others would. So here's their chance!

Sage advice indeed.

Has he written you again and mentioned, that there are no "long lines" waiting to vouch?

Ryan Pimenta

So I pirchased a watch from this guy this week not knowing his past. After taking it to two authorized Rolex watch makers they have told me it is real. Just sharing my experience after finding this thread.

Now why would you be searching for this guy’s negative feedback after purchasing a watch from him without knowing his past?

And do so 6 minutes after joining this forum?

If I appear suspicious it is because some sellers have been known to shill their userID’s to burnish a bad rep.

I mean no disrespect, but while I would never purchase a high value item from Craigslist, there are certain areas I would ESPECIALLY avoid, e.g., from Worcester, Woonsocket, Lowell, Somerville, etc.

I purchased one watch from him and when I called mayors to ask who could look at it they sent me to Sarasota watch company. While there they told me his name and to watch out for him. So this guy called me back the next day and met me at the same place in Tampa with a GMT that was fake. He thought after buying one watch that multiple people checked he could offer me a second deal at a amazing price. I sniffed it out and had the cops come. They currently have a case on him. His offer up account is City Deals if anyone wants to take a look. Funny part is that he hasn’t removed the account and still has rolexes up on it but not the GMT. I’m thinking some are real some fake.

I'm now thinking Vince is not affiliated with said scammer after all!

Glad you seem to have had a lucky escape and didn't get caught out by the fake.
