Back from the Ridley Spa Treatment
Well it didn't take that long for Bob to clean, oil, and regulate the movement as well as replace the crystal and crown. Thank goodness because I don't like to be separated from this one for very long.
His pic: My pic today:

That's a beauty Dan and moreso after the spa treatment. One day when mine needs a service, will send it to Bob too.

Man looks incredible. Im pretty sure Bob is the route I will go when my baby needs some TLC. All the horror stories I read about RSC damaging and scratching new watches why would one want to go any where else?

Thanks everyone for the kind words. Bob overhauled the movement, replaced the crown and tube with a period correct ones, replaced the crystal, and reconditioned the bracelet. All told, the service took about 4 weeks. There are signs of wear consistent with a 42 year old watch. Rather than polish away the history of every scuff and swirl, I chose to leave the case in the original condition. I have enjoyed wearing it today, as will my son someday, and hopefully his son.
