Sea Dweller Question...

For those more knowledgeable then I, I have a question…

I recently purchased a GLOSS Dial 16660 Sea Dweller…

It is a 9 mil serial so it started life as a Gloss Dial watch…

The watch appears to be in it's original state as far as I can tell...

The markers and hands have a very lovely matching off white patina…

But the dial is not really "Glossy"…

When compared to my Matt Dial 666's and my Gloss Dial 16600, it looks much more like a Matt Dial 666…

My question is this: Did these watches start life with this kind of "Semi-Matt" Finish, or has age caused them to become this way???

I'm sorry I have no pictures at this time as the watch is at my watchmakers being serviced…

Many Thanks...
