I just want to let everyone know that if you're planning on buying or selling your Rolex, be VERY careful of the watchmakers that are being used for verifying authenticity.

There was a potential buyer recently who wanted to meet with me for a face to face transaction and started to dictate his terms of meeting with "his" watchmaker, etc.

I straight up told the guy that we can go to a Rolex Service Center nearby and the prospective buyer starts backpedaling and declined to meet. It seems like the guy had something to hide or was planning on having "his" watchmaker swap out my legit parts for him. I just got a bad vibe from the guy who only wanted to use his guy.

Just be cautious when doing face to face transaction, especially the verification part. You don't want to be the person who let's someone joyride your watch and then disappears without a trace.

That guy sounds fishy. RSC would be the place to go for sure.

Caution should always be paramount..

As to "verification"; it's up to a buyer to be assured of authenticity. I would not likely accept the seller providing me with the person who will be doing that...
