PROOF - Ceramic Bezel Failure
Well, people needed proof of the failed bezels and I have it.
I was just wearing it and the temperature in the building quickly changed by 2 degrees. The cracking was so bad on my bezel that my arm started cracking as well along with the air around the watch. I just called Rolex about nothing and I'll let you know nothing later... all! Don't take offense to anything I say.

Will your warranty cover the repairs or are you on your own?

Look at TZ, they had a break there. :) Be careful though
...at first the thread seems misleading (1500.00 to replace the bezel.) After much discussion (and some calls by a member) it turns out the ceramic insert itself is 240 bucks.

You reckon that's bad? Look at what last week's 47-degree weekend did:

I wonder what will happen to the new DSSD and its ceramic bracelet with its fango-dango 3,900 metre rating then!!! 12,800 feet is pretty darn high!!!

Maybe SDs should come with a warning label: NOT FOR WEARERS WITH AN ICARUS COMPLEX.

Ceramic is used for its durabilty, thats the reason porsche charges 10 grand for ceramic brakes. This is urban myth!

Note that Porsche had problems with CRACKING in its PCCB1 discs on 996 GT2's a while ago - this was fixed in the PCCB2's. SNB

Ceramic is hard but brittle. Ceramic is scratch-resistant, but aluminum doesn't break. It's really that simple.
