PROOF - Ceramic Bezel Failure

Well, people needed proof of the failed bezels and I have it.

I was just wearing it and the temperature in the building quickly changed by 2 degrees. The cracking was so bad on my bezel that my arm started cracking as well along with the air around the watch. I just called Rolex about nothing and I'll let you know nothing later...

all! Don't take offense to anything I say.

Will your warranty cover the repairs or are you on your own?

Look at TZ, they had a break there. :) Be careful though

...at first the thread seems misleading (1500.00 to replace the bezel.) After much discussion (and some calls by a member) it turns out the ceramic insert itself is 240 bucks.

You reckon that's bad? Look at what last week's 47-degree weekend did:

I wonder what will happen to the new DSSD and its ceramic bracelet with its fango-dango 3,900 metre rating then!!! 12,800 feet is pretty darn high!!!

Maybe SDs should come with a warning label: NOT FOR WEARERS WITH AN ICARUS COMPLEX.

Ceramic is used for its durabilty, thats the reason porsche charges 10 grand for ceramic brakes. This is urban myth!

The carbon-ceramic composite is used because of its high resistance to extreme heat and fade.

Note that Porsche had problems with CRACKING in its PCCB1 discs on 996 GT2's a while ago - this was fixed in the PCCB2's.

Ceramic is hard but brittle. Ceramic is scratch-resistant, but aluminum doesn't break. It's really that simple.
