I don’t wear a watch when lifting weights, showering or sleeping. I also don’t wear a watch when working on a toilet/plumbing, carrying bricks, or working on any engine. I have learned the hard way over the years these activities don’t mix with a watch on your wrist you care about. I will run, swim, shoot guns, etc.. with a watch on.

Yes have it on always whenever in a strange and unfamiliar place.

Otherwise at home, off it goes when I sleep or wrestle the kids and the dogs.

It's off when I sleep or shower. Otherwise, it's always on.

I don't shower with my watches on and rarely sleep with one on.

Otherwise, I generally am wearing one and definitely, if I leave the house.

Pretty much everything but shower... But I'll wear in the pool / lake / ocean as long as it's not on leather.

My watches like jail prisoners. I keep all of them locked up in the bank safe deposit. Only visiting them on Saturday morning from 9-12(that's the Saturdays bank working hours). Otherwise in the shower

Currently my 114060 is in Switzerland for repairs. No local RSC. Small fleck of material stuck to the dial, was there when the coffin was opened in the AD. Only just sent it away but luckily at no cost to myself. So no, I do not have it with me all the time.

Only reason I ever take a watch off is if my wife asks me too at night. I accidentally hit her in the forehead while I was asleep with my Sea-Dweller Deep Sea, so she has a fear of watches in bed.

I don't wear it while at the gym, but otherwise it's on my wrist.

I'll take mine off when I shower or when I'm working on something where I think chances are high on banging it.

I’m partial to the newer tech straps, like those from Hirsch, that are leather on the outside, but rubber underneath. I’ve had them for years and shower/swim with them no problem.

Virtually 24/7. It's off when I shower but on when I sleep. Exercise for me is walking and swimming and I wear Rolex watches then, too. I ran for 30 years (need knee replacements now) and used the old Timex marathon/triathlon watches during training and events. I will slip my watch into a pocket if I have to do something unusual that could damage it.

I'm surprised so many newer forum members take theirs off to shower. That's been a common and simple way to wash the thing around here for a long time, and it helps cut down on grime that can lead to bracelet "stretching." Just don't drop it on tile when you take it off to wash it with a little soap and water.

Anyways, I take mine off when I go to bed, and I put it on when I wake up. That's about it.

It comes on as I am getting ready to leave the house and comes off not long after I arrive home. If I’m going out to exercise the watch usually stays on my nightstand.

I always thought showering in any watch was bad... due to the heat expanding the gaskets that promote water integrity.

Maybe it was just a myth, since I've seen loads of people say it... but still, I'd rather be safe.

The issue with showering with a watch is a lot of soap and shampoo have skin conditioners in them that leave a soap scum film inside the bracelet links and around the bezel. Ultimately you will have to take it off and wash it with Dawn dish soap to remove the soap film that accumulates.

I am now lucky enough to have 2 Rolexes. I grew up in trailer that had holes in the floor and the occasional scorpion would get in my room. As kid, I wasn’t always allowed to shower daily; let’s just say, I grew up improverished. My second Rolex, a Datejust 41, I named Harley, I’ve had for about 2 weeks, and like my first one, I wore to bed cause when I’d wake up in middle of the night, I’d see the watch, and think how far I’ve come and how lucky I am to have something so amazingly beautiful. Once the newness wears off, it’ll rest on the bathroom counter.
