Watch feels small after rotation

Anyone else experience this? Ive been wearing my Seiko Monster for a solid two weeks now and put on my 34mm AK the other day and was struck by how small it felt to me now. Took a bit of getting used to for sure. Anyone else notice this when they go from one of their large watches to something smaller?

I used to feel this way, but now I welcome smaller wearing watches on my wrist.

Don’t get me wrong, I like wearing larger watches, but lately I’ve been really happiest with 40mm Rolex.

Ive always loved smaller watches(works far better w my 6.5 wrist), but certain bigger pieces im able to wear without looking silly.

After wearing my Navitimer for a few days, then switching over to my DJ 36 it does feel smaller but not enough that it takes time to adjust. The sweet spot for me is 36 - 40mm. That's why even though I've always loved sandwich dial Panerai's I'd never buy one. Just way too big for my wrist.

I think it works both ways. It just takes me a little time to get use to whichever watch I have on.

For sure its a normal feeling especially going that long wearing one size. It will take a bit of getting used to the change again.

I’m gonna go get mine out of my dive bag and pretend I’m in Cozumel waiting for the dive boat to arrive.

Thank you for the reminder

I never rotate large to small or small to large.

My rotation is small, medium large and visa versa.

That way no issues.

Yes my Explorer feels small after wearing my Panerai but get used to it quickly and the same is true when the other way round

Yes, always and it really is an unpleasant feel. Never again as I decided not to get anything smaller than 41mm on my wrist.

It felt small because 34mm is tiny in this day and age

I went from a Seiko skx007 daily to a Datejust 36 daily and felt the change

Now I daily the Datejust and throw on a skx013 every now and then, and don’t really feel the difference

I only have one watch, but if I could buy another one it would have the same measurements. Would drive me crazy to have different sizes and one of the two would surely be neglected.

I like having different sizes to choose from, ranging from 34mm Air King to 49mm Seiko Tuna.

I remember a post here some time ago about a strategy to rotate large and small watches. The member said he goes from the largest to some middle sized and only then to a small watch. Hilarious. Kind of thing that only a watch fanatic would come up with.

My 36mm DJ is more comfortable on my 7 1/2 wrist, than my SS Submariner Date. It doesn’t feel small after wearing my Sub. The DJ is meant to be a dress/casual watch. So I don’t see it as “ Small.” I see it as what it’s purpose is. Now my Sub is a dive watch, it’s suppose to wear, and look bigger. My preference is 36mm-40mm watches. I never got into the “ Big “ watch trend. I have a Seiko turtle SRP773, that was a gift. Now that watch makes my DJ, and Sub look small. It just sits in the box,

From a Monster to a 34 AK - yes I would notice the difference.

For sure lol. I hadn't worn the since February, so it was probably magnified by the fact that it had been a good while since I wore it. Funny how not wearing a watch for a good while and putting it on again for two days can make one fall in love w it again.
