Sea-Dweller separates itself from the classic submariner for technical use only. 16600 was exclusively equipped with a toolkit, no other!!! Rolex watch has ever had a technical kit no actors no models no singers no TV personality NO VIP wear sd 16600 (16660) everyone chooses classic Submariner (beautiful absolutely we agree. ok), but SD16600 is something else

Picked up my first crown today and happy to say it is an SD 16600. Thanks to members of this forum who gave great advice throughout the process. Was a long 6 year journey and totally worth it!

Very cool. You can officially count me in as well. Got my 2006 16600 SD today - though I won't have it in hand for a while given the current Cover-19 situation and travel restrictions. It arrived at a safe place in Europe and will be well taken care off before I hopefully will be able to resume original plans again in August and pick it up in person. Not going to try to ship anything across the Atlantic at this point.
In any case. It's in great condition, with box and papers. Been able to source a tool kit and correct calendar card from 2006. What else would have been in a complete set in 2006? Per this photo here there might have been an anker. Which booklets, manuals, hang tags would I have expected? What about a bezel protector? |

Love the pics, love the enthusiasm for this iconic model. As a fan of the SD line, and this being my only 5 digit, I’m reminded that the older models bring a functionality and charm unlike the newer set. I wouldn’t let the bezel or bracelet sway anyone away from the 16600; quite the opposite in fact. Such a cool piece.
