I really love Glashütte Original and Lange. I think their designs are out of this world. I'm also a big fan of F.P. Journe. His originality is really refreshing. On a more budget minded note, I am a fan of Seiko. I really think they are under appreciated by many collectors!

If not Rolex, probably an Omega.

Well, there are obviously tons of options, but I‘d say Omega (Speedy) and Tag Heuer (Monza, Camaro) are my choices.

Zenith Pilot Type 20 Extra Special. Practical, easy to read for me midlife eyes.

Jaeger surpasses patek and AP at 1/8 the price. I’d say a reverso is better made than many Rolexes as well.. I’d even say a master control is amazing ... it should be a 15,000$ piece compared to other Rolex SS models.

A. Lange & Sohne, Audemars Piguet

Honorable mention to Blancpain for the Fifty Fathoms line as Sub/SD competitors.

I like Rolex's sport models but if I didn't want one I'd go for an Omega, a Breitling, or a Tudor, probably in that order. For dress watches, I prefer ALS, VC, FPJ, JLC, or Patek, probably in that order as well.

I like IWC as worry-free beaters and Patek if and when I am ready to pay some attention to not unduly denting my watch.

- IWC w a preference for both their tool and dress watches from the 1980s to early 2000s. Since then ever larger cases, some poor designs, too many model changes, and as a result little value retention...

- Patek w a preference for modern era pieces but I also like some from the 1950s and 1960s.

PS Rolex? Not for me, but I do like this forum...

My favorite is Bremont because:

1. I love the quality feel of the watches
2. I love the understated nature of the designs
3. I love that they are flying the flag for Britain
4. I love the link to aviation and the military

And finally, I love the story of how Bremont came about, including the tribute to their father who was tragically killed in a plane crash (one of the brothers was in the plane also but somehow survived), and I even love the story behind the name Bremont (not to mention that the brothers surname is 'English')

I am lucky enought to own a MBII TWG LE (of which only 30 have been made)

I would ask you all to go online and watch videos of Bremont story...I promise you will love it.

Rolex isn't even my favourite. If count by the number of watches, it's Seiko, AP and Patek. The last one I could have collected more if they are not so damn expensive
