Icon12 Thoughts on 2 board games. Jaws & Talisman Batman

Hey,

I picked up 2 boards games recently. Wanted some thoughts from members here who played either.

A Batman version of Talisman and Ravensburger's Jaws. I did a quick search here and didn’t find results. Saw many YouTube videos also.

Was it fun? Good for kids? Too long? Etc... obviously, the Talisman game is more fun while wearing a BLNR Oyster ;)

Thanks,

The kids and I played it about 4 times now. Solid game. Pretty much the same as Talisman (as expected) but the Batman theme def intrigues the kids. They even use Lego Batman minifigs as game tokens.

Only down side is the game board spaces can be hard to read.

We still need to play Jaws but the online reviews have been positive.

Getting my kids to sit down and play a board game is like putting an ice cube into boiling water ... it’s lasts seconds

They look like fun games

Didn't have kids so board games were never in my wheelhouse much after leaving my parents home.

Although a bunch of us in my late teens did spend some snowy winter afternoons drinking and playing Risk.

Haven't played a board game since.

Interesting if kids these days feel it's too "analog".

I often play board games with my child. Developmental on logic. Even such as Monopoly. Because it develops financial literacy. Sometimes my child asks to play me computer. I am not happy about such a request. But we have an agreement for a couple of hours a week. I choose where he can play and what. I prefer browser games for my child. Here he can have a good time and not get too caught up in what he has to go through next in the story. He has played and forgotten.
