Anyone as excited about this as me. I've never owned a Shelby but have been obsessed with the GT350 since it came out.
As a car enthusiast I'm ashamed to say that I don't actually know much about Carol Shelby's contributions to american muscle cars beyond the fact that he "is the man".

1) More so.

2) Spend some time reading about Carroll Shelby, it’s a great story even without the cars.

3) There were many more instrumental individuals involved in the total Ferrari annihilation/obliteration than Shelby.

4) Read the Ford/Ferrari story from a good source before watching the movie. I’m sure much of the story line will be altered for sensationalism, and full of international styled political correctness so as not to offend.

All the stories Hollywood tells need to be taken with a grain of salt, but frankly I'm surprised this one took so long to produce/tell. That said the story lines in this rivalry could fill the screen with 6-7 movies easily!! It's easy to forget how big a deal it was back then but in racing Ferrari was it, and Ford perfected mass production it was Goliath vs. Goliath. Can't wait!!

The bottom line is Enzo gave his word to H. Ford, and didn’t adhere to such, which makes him a liar. Which shouldn’t have surprised Ford due to Enzo’s reputation as being a POS. Ford instigated revenge and achieved his goal, ....... period ! Enzo and Ferrari interests should have been grateful that Ford didn’t set his goal to destroy the company, which he could have accomplished just as easily.

Appreciate it! I can certainly see where he is coming from though. It would be difficult to see almost anyone try to portray a member of your family who you have always looked up to and admired especially in a way you never recall seeing.

Will be interested to see what the Shelby family thinks about the movie.
