Please advise!

Long story short:
Paid a small amount of deposit on PP. Waited for more than 15 months. The SA left the company during this waiting period. In the process, both the SA and the manager said that I am top on the list. I only got this written from the SA and now the manager declined that she has said that to me. All blames now go to the SA as you can imagine. The manager informs me that they cannot allocate me the watch anymore due to a lot of bullshit. They will offer me a full refund.

What would you do? Will you play hard game with them? This is a new AD as I move to another country as home 2 years ago. I have been buying some PP pieces including nautilus steel before in my original home country.

It is not about the watch. I feel this is not fair. FYI, the watch is not nautilus. It was popular but not that popular 15 months ago. Probably you know which one I am referring to.

Any advice are welcome!

Too much hassle lad. Take your money and go somewhere else.

Heh.... This sounds strangely familiar with my first AD that I tried to buy Patek from. Move on. You'll be happier in the long run.

Sorry to hear that you had the same bad experience too. I know how you felt! I believe I can get pp elsewhere in the future, that should not be a problem. But I do want this AD to learn a good lesson.

I’m not sure what recourse you have. Probably time to move on.

Do know someone at PP HQ, but I am not sure if I should contact him for this trivial matter.

I would take the money and move on. I would also contact PP as they had your money for 15 months and essentially lied to you (assuming nothing was lost in translation) ... but that’s just me. Others may disagree.

This.
They’ve sat on your money so let PP know. They may discover you’re not the only one.

Cheers

What else can you do but take the refund and move on to another AD.

Move on to another AD but escalate to PP as others have mentioned.

This is exactly why I am so annoyed about?!! I have been collecting watches for quite a long while. I have never experienced a situation like this with another brand! Even more sadly, I am sure I will not be the last one. I moan too much, maybe lol

I am not sure about the law in your AD’s location but I would have thought that the SA was an agent for the AD and bound it’s principal if you were top of list. If they now wish to renege, I would definitely escalate to Patek. Cannot believe that that Patek would want to maintain a relationship with an AD that deals in bad faith with its customers. That cannot be good for the brand.

A good point! I will have a chat with my friend who is a solicitor. Thanks again

You don't need the money back yet. I'd make them wait while you try for any recourse. You need to find a factory rep if possible.
