A dress watch goes just fine with casual attire, the opposite not so much. Sportswatch and a tux is a no go

In this day and age I think there are no fixed rules, wear what you like. I wear my "Dress watch" whenever I want, whether that be jeans and T shirt, shorts or rarely these days a suit.

As to the OP's question; do as you please. Nice watches pair well with anything. It's the confidence with which you wear the watch that's probably more important. Confidence is stylish and that goes with anything.
I would agree with this... it takes a bit of confidence to pull off something like the Reverso with jeans and a t-shirt, but I can totally see it. The Reverso actually might be my next watch over $1k. It's a toss up, 5 digit EXPII or the Reverso, but I'm leaning Reverso for something a bit different, and yes, I would wear it with jeans or khakis too, probably on a brown strap rather than black.

I mean if you are walking around in T-shirt jeans, in my opinion no, a reverso would really not fit. I mean where what you like, but it does not blend in with that attire. What I would suggest and can be pulled off is the iwc portuguese the slightly larger size and chrono gives it a sportier look even though on leather strap. I think glashutte also makes a chrono that looks dressy but is like the iwc in that regard. The reverso is really a proper dress watch.

Not only a great photo, but a very classy watch. Stylish and understated - a lovely movement too.

Makes my Sky Dweller look like a punch-up in a dial factory!

The old rules don't really apply anymore. If you like it, wear it with whatever suits you that day.
