Living in what was once considered the micro brewery capital of the US and having worked in a micro brewery, I love me some Coord Light and Modelo.

No shame in drinking what you like. I’ve been drinking mostly lager lately myself. My buddy made a run to treehouse so I walked back through the DIPA door but honestly I’d prefer a lager or Pilsner.

Focal Banger tonight

I like this a little bit more than Heady Topper but not as much as several Treehouse IPA’s.

Yeah everyone rates FB over HT but neither are extraordinary compared to what’s available in NE these days.

As such, give me a cold can of heady in a stowe dive and call it a day. Nostalgia for the win.

I think Hill Farmstead makes the best DIPA with double citra.

Does anyone here despise IPAs as much as I do? They are an american abomination on what beer should be.
Look at Ireland, Germany, and the beer gods in Belgium. There is a reason IPAs are essentially non-existent with the Masters of Beer in those countries. And even the ones you can find are no where near as horribly brutal as the Over the top I can out Hop You Hoppiness of the terrible american craft IPAs. True bastardization of beer.
It is interesting to see the fun names and cans of the craft breweries, but the beers just SUCK.

With you on about 95% of IPA's, there are a very few I like. The rest as you say, it feels like a "I can out hop you contest" and that's not my kind of beer....
