Apollo 8 on rubber strap?
Just picked up the Apollo 8. Wasn’t planning on purchasing it initially as I was interested in IWC but am on vacation in Europe and discovered that IWC prices their watches according to currency to match USD and happened to stumble upon the Apollo 8 and couldn’t turn it down.
Has anyone put their Apollo 8 (or any DSOTM) on a rubber strap? Oris makes a high quality tropic diver rubber strap that’s 21mm and IWC makes a rubber inside and canvas outside rubber strap for the double chrono that recently came out. Any better ideas? I would enjoy your A8 for a while on the original bracelet before you go out and buy a new strap. You may not know what you are missing if you put it on rubber too quickly.

Yes, I enjoy it on nato and the black black strap but having put it back on the original leather it does suit it rather well.

I just got mine and was thinking the same thing - if nothing else than to save the original strap condition in the event I sell it sometime (after buying it though selling it is feeling less and less likely...)
I kind of like the brown distressed leather one on the DSOTM co-ax chrono (see photo). Haven't been able to find it yet but haven't looked super hard. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
