Tudor day date- day wheel font look right?

Calling all Tudor day date experts here!

I have incoming a piece that looks to be real other than the font on the day wheel that seems larger and stylistically different from other day dates from the same error.

I have seen 1 or 2 images online of models with a similar font but still not convinced.

Can anyone help a brother out? Should I send this one right back once I receive it?

I think you're fine. A search shows the same font on similar refs from the same era.

Earlier 7020

The size of the font on mine still looks a little bigger than the ones in the link here.

If someone did change the day wheel, I don't get why they would do that and leave everything else the same.

And if they didn't mess with the day wheel, why would Tudor use inconsistent font.

This is a piece I've been looking forever to buy. Now I'm just not sure one way or the other.

As a fellow Tudor owner don't take this the wrong way but there hasn't been much demand for fake day wheels. There's a possibility Tudor changed the font on service wheels.

Everything looks good on the watch and it's corrsion free. If the price was right just replace the day wheel with one you know to be factory.

Found this, have no knowledge of the watch but at least you are not alone. :)

Thanks for your input. I seem to be getting more nods for it being the real thing than a fake which is good

You're right, good point. RSC changed date wheels on a couple of the Tudors I sent them. Here's a 74100 back from service:

Interning... looks like the font isn't the (what I've been calling) times new roman font.

This is surprising considering rolex's reputation for perfection that they would allow for inconsistency in lettering
