Dial Re-Color/refinish possibility? Omega Constellation
Wondering if anyone has changed the color of a dial? AND rhodium plate the YG to WG. How much would this cost and does anyone know of a good place in the US.
I dont like yellow gold and this white dial, I want to turn this watch into the black dial. |

I am sure its possible, but I think you would be a lot better off selling the one you have, and buying he one you want.

I agree. That appears to be an original and valuable watch as it is, and the changes you're asking about would have a very adverse effect on its value.

I’m not too concerned with devaluing it, I find no value in a watch I don’t want to wear and won’t ever sell. I have a local watch shop I like, I’ll see what they say

The plating will wear off eventually and will look like crap. You will have to continually have to get it replated. I think you will be spending more to transform you watch than it would cost you to trade the one you have to get a SS black dial model. It just doesn't make financial sense. or any other for that matter,

You'd be reducing the value of the watch by up to 30% maybe much more because of the plating.
Sell the watch and buy a white gold example, although WG examples have a premium of up to 50% over YG One thing with vintage watches is that any modifications compromise their collectibility. The modifications you have in mind would render the piece uncollectible unless it was restored to its original state. Cheers Desmond
