Serviced USSR

Hello Everyone.

I have a question about ussr watches..

I love them i think they're a lot of fun for the price and actually have some cool history. Certain models are great designs (like the Poljot Alarm for example. Such a cool watch!) and can tend to be quite reliable in my experience..

But my question is... how much would you be willing to spend on one that had just been serviced? A service can tend to be $200-$250? If you can generally pick up a ussr watch, say a Raketa, for $50, would you be willing to spend $250 - $300 on one that had just be serviced? Seems like thatd be a crazy purchase..

I know servicing is generally considered a "loss" or a general expense in watches. But I've seen alot of these watches for sale and they'll say things like "just serviced!" But they're only asking like $75... if a seller were to actually be buying these things and getting them serviced.. how much would you spend on them?

Anyway... curious question.. thanks everyone!! Let .e k ow what you think.

I would buy a unserviced one and get it done by my own watchmakers. I don't believe in a decent service for 200$ so zero added value for me.

New ones can be had pretty reasonably depending on the movement. I'd prefer to buy a new one.
