Hilarious. I never seen someone under pressure find an email so fast. We got it all wrong,as we all wish for things on this forum hoping AP monitors it we should just pretend we are 19 to 25 and find him on Instagram .

i wonder who the first person brave enough to post an incoming here will be?

If i bought one, i might just keep it to myself. Same if i owned a Hublot... you guys would never know

Its not that bad, and i do think people will come around a bit.

The trouble is that for $26k it should be a lot better than "not bad" :)

As someone who loves dress watches, admires AP (but is not interested in a RO), the Code line could well have appealed to me. However, the dials do absolutely nothing for me, the date window placement is awful, 41mm is too big for me, and the price is excessive compared to what I can get from VC, Patek, and Lange (I own a 5119J and Saxonia 35mm).

You are a bit hard with AP guys. I have seen them in the flesh yesterday at SIHH and they are very beautiful pieces. They deserve to be seen IRL. Some of you might even change their opinion on it after that.

i remember distinctly everyone really, really hating the RG 44 when they changed it. like 90% preferring the old one. Later it was about 50/50 and now i actually think most prefer the newer version.

I think its probably much, much better than "not bad" but im using that as a starting point as knee jerk reactions are often way wrong because you are looking at something you are not use to seeing

In the end for the watch to succeed (and I hope it does) people have to like the dial. And for that to happen people, at the very least, have to accept the position of the date window. On a sports watch, it does happen (but even then they are usually in a minority). I can't see that happening on a dress watch.
