Hard to say in the U.K., but in the states 15% is a good starting point. I ended up going with a trusted gray dealer and got about 30% or so.

I think - at least in the US - Jomashop has the best price for a brand new Speedy moon watch.

I have bought a Cartier watch through JomaShop in part because Cartier only has a 2-year warranty. A new Omega has a 5-year warranty and I do find value in that.

Instead of purchasing through a gray market dealer for my Speedy Pro, I found a dealer on the Rolex Forum (member name: mdgrwl). His name is Matt and he has a website named the WatchExchange. I recently bought a brand new Speedy Pro with the Omega 5-year warranty for a price comparable to the gray market dealer.

In NY, best I was able to negotiate (I tried two places) was 8.5% (tax). They both said these are hot watches with the 50th coming up. Other watches they would discount further if I wanted one of them.

In Canada 20% seems to be the norm. I'd buy from Jomashop if I were in the US.

I'm looking around for one also to add to my collection. I tried two AD's local to be but neither would offer more than 15% off rrp. I ended up buying another watch on my watchlist, a 2nd hand Tag Heuer Carrera Calibre 16 with red second hand and sub dial hand. The Moon watch is still on the list though!!

You will get 10% straight off the bat in a U.K. AD. 15% at a push.

I have 2 big AD’s here who I do quite a lot with and I can’t get more than 15. You can get more if you are prepared to use a seller on chrono or somewhere like that. In region of 20-25%.

Do you know what's the retail price for the hesalite and the sapphire crystal version in the UK?

Yes, it’s 3,680 for the heseltite and approx 4.200 for the sapphire mate. Price rise came in 1 jan for boutiques and has just been passed through the AD’s in last couple of weeks.

Thanks for the fast response! Thinking of buying one soon but might wait during my trip to the UK.
