Kinda Rare Incoming

I finally bit the bullet on a H Moser & Cie even though their resale value doesn’t hold at all. But I did manage to buy a piece that is one of their many firsts in a few categories along with a Limited Edition of 50.

So the above probably gave it away but I’m rather excited and have wanted a Moser for quite a few years now.

Hopefully will be here tomorrow........until then......

Vantablack moonphase? If so, congrats on the score. It's an awesome piece.

I also bit the bullet and might have a Moser incoming tomorrow as well. Glad this brand is gaining momentum.

I am a fan of H. Moser and Cie. I think it is an underrated brand for what you get. Some of their releases are a little out of my style or look, but there are plenty that check the boxes.

Congratulations OP, can’t wait to see some pictures when you take delivery!

Remember the words I put for hints are there are at least two elements of this watch that are a first for Moser. Never before have either of them been produced on a Moser watch model.

I’m really glad they are seeming to turn the corner as well! They make some very nice pieces for the money and the pre-owned prices are so low one would think that these newer models will sell quickly in that market at the low pricing which will help raise their value over the long run.

Congrats! What are you getting?

Endeavour center second funky blue. The case sculpture alone is amazing, let alone the dial. I also considered the blue lagoon endeavour concept (which I loved as well) and the flying hours. The flying hours would've been my top choice to be honest, but my wrists couldn't quite pull off 42mm.

In looking at the pre-owned, I noticed that the majority of the stock seems to be older models or non-LE models with neutral colored dials. The limited editions and regular models with colored dials don't pop up as often. And when they do, their value is much less discounted. Hopefully that is a sign that their brand and value are starting to stabilize and they are getting (much deserved) recognition.

The bracelet and rotating bezel are both firsts for Moser. The bracelet is pretty similar to the Rolex glide lock version. It has 1mm sliding adjustments.

I have the regular Pioneer Center Seconds rubber strap coming. I negotiated the matte black gator strap and have a catalog of the other available straps coming as well. I think a brown strap will really go good with the blue dial.

I like the hands of the regular Pioneer models better but doubt I will be able to have them ordered/changed. I understand why they put the fully loomed hands on this model but just like the skeleton look of the others better.

It was hard for me to purchase this instead of a SS Rolex Sky Dweller because of the resell factor but really have been wanting a Pioneer model every since they launched so the LE along with it being a first full bracelet and rotating bezel made the decision a lot easier. I haven’t ever seen a Sky Dweller in the wild but I’m sure I’ll see one before I see another one of these.

Oh and Moser also has a new deployant clasp that I am ordering for some of the straps. So any if you other Moser owners that would be interested in one for your pieces you may want to contact your dealers about one ;-).

It’s the same as the Pioneer Center Seconds 42.8mm. Yea there really isn’t any information on the web about their LE pieces. Kinda like have to be in the know with the dealers.

Fits and looks great!!!! The adjustable clasp requires a 1.5mm flat screw driver to do the 1mm incremental adjustments but wasn’t a problem. Wish it were easier but it is what it is I guess.

Fantastic incoming. Congrats!

Loved this watch the second I saw it released (both in execution and in the direction it takes the company). I'm hoping it does well and further puts Moser on the map.

Well. I feel like an idiot lmao. The clasp is way kooler than I thought. There is a hidden button on the deployant to press to let out the micro adjuster and it’s so well made I didn’t even notice it lol. There wasn’t anything online or in the paperwork about how the bracelet functioned so I used a screw driver to let the 1mm adjuster out but just knew they couldn’t engineer it to be used that way, it just didn’t make any sense even though it was their first bracelet. Works like a charm and even better than the Rolex Glidelock by far which is amazing in itself from a brand like Moser which hasn’t been in the sports watch game long at all and only has one bracelet. Speaks volumes if you ask me, but what do I know? I don’t even own a Rolex or Patek at the moment lol.

Thanks!

Glad I made the choice even though I possibly could have gotten a Sky Dweller at retail. Tired of all the nonsense going on with Rolex, Patek, and AP honestly. I just don’t see the value anymore with the sky high pricing on standard steel pieces that aren’t complicated in any way. I will admit that both my Aquanaut on rubber and 5711-1R on solid gold bracelet were the best fitting watches I’ve ever owned though. And, neither of them had any micro adjustments. They sat evenly on the top of my wide wrist almost all day every day without ever needing to straighten them which I do miss most about them. Now that I’ve finally figured out how to properly work the HM&C adjuster it may sit better throughout the day. We shall see lol.

I have been eyeing up the white dial, blue hand venturer small seconds as a dress watch.

I tried it on today and it is a lovely looking timepiece....very close to pulling the trigger.

Post a wrist shot if and when you do. I don't think I've ever seen a proper picture of the white dial variant.
