The next 5 yrs will be fun to watch this company grow or fail. I agree the marketing is going to be key and getting more distribution into US and Europe. The finish on these cases is in line with VC and JLC...sorry Rolex not even close. I have a gen 2 overseas and was comparing the maltese polished bezel and links and couldn't believe GS was on par with it. Spring drive is an impressive albeit bit controversial movement but its a strong daily movement thats well executed, designed and decorated so checks box IMO...

I just purchased this watch yesterday at AD and this face just has so much character and depth in different settings.

These wouldn't surprise me to see 50 to 75% higher in price over next 5 yrs if marketed properly...love hear other thoughts

Even if not, it remains a unique watch that unites for me the most significant three Grand Seiko elements:
- 44GS Case
- Spring Drive
- Exceptional Dial

I agree, these are the elements that made me choose this over other GS models + I personally like stainless steel.

How many happy owners are there here, a few months into it? Anyone really wearing this often or is it a bit niche?

Well I have the snowflake and thought it was more versatile than this one. So decided to offload it for another GS watch that is not a “duplicate” to my other spring drive.

Lovely dial and great watch. I have stayed away from the Snowflake due to size as I normally limit my watches to 39 mm but I suppose 40 mm is a reasonable stretch, but not 41. Enjoy.

OK well I have one incoming, hopefully.

Have any of you guys managed to get a micro adjustable clasp for the bracelet? GS branded or otherwise?
