Hi guys,

Kevin Kostner's latest film has been released today all over NZ. So has anyone seen The Guardian.....any comments or reviews would be welcome.

Is it any different from Costner in "The Bodyguard"?

Dunno, man - the plot sounds like a rehash of "Men of Honour", and I've got a lot of difficulty taking Ashton Kucher seriously.

I read a review last week. It got panned... but then again, what Kevin Costner movie made in the past decade has been panned.

If you film it, they will come?

It's a shame - Costner absolutely rocked in movies like Bull Durham, but these days he just seems to make beige movies.

Oh yeah, Dances with Wolves, Bull Durham, Tin Cup, Field of Dreams.. he had a great run and then went very 'beige' as you say.

Like Tom Cruise, it seems Costner always plays the same type of character, which wears thin fast.

However, unlike Tom Cruise I think Costner is actually sane.

BTW - of those you listed Tin Cup was my favourite.

True... Tin Cup is one of those movies that's on all the time, and I usually watch some if not all, over and over again. Love it!

In addition to Tin Cup, which I actually saw (although I'm not a golf fan), I did sit down through the entire "Dances with Wolf" movie. In the end, I actually enjoyed it.
