Sold my RO
I sold my RO along with a Rolex. I have been gradually reducing my prime watches. Happily I am down to my Patek Philippe, 5080/, and my Rolex submariner, 14080M. Why sell the RO, it just didn’t excite me any more. AP creates great timepieces, but not for me.

Sold my RO
Patek neptune and sub 14060m are both great watches, but for me, AP RO is also as iconic (if not more), timeless and irreplaceable. About my last point in particular - A question that I always ask when I consider selling a watch is: would I be able to find another watch to make me feel the same way when I am wearing this one? The answer for RO is no. Nothing could fill that “hole” once its gone, except for another RO. Maybe I will find another watch, even a better one in some aspects, but it is just not the Royal Oak.
But congrats anyway! Glad that you’re happy with your decision. |
