Three (3) Days in a row!?!?!? I give up...

I swear... I'm cursed! Let's see, it's about 4:00 PM... Is it too early to start drinking? I don't drink alcohol but am starting today. I might need someone to teach me and make sure I do it the right way... Mon?

No really, you guys think I am making these stories up, I WISH I was! Day three.... yep, another story

So... uhm... after everything in my condo breaking and falling apart and causing the wiring to overload (that was day one ) YESTERDAY, I was enjoying a nice afternoon and then basically got told I needed to cash my social security check and get back to the Shady-Acres rest home, (That was day two ). TODAY, just HAS to be better right? Nothing bad could happen today!? I mean, only a LOSER would have bad things happen to him on three straight days right?! LOL.... NO... of course not... don't be silly Paul

Yeah, so next week has a special day in it, and I have been looking for a way to celebrate. I have lusted after a car, the Lincoln MKZ (Hybrid) for over a year. My friend, who sells new and used cars, calls me to say there is one on the lot. I go look at it today... and start lusting. A 2016, low mileage, pretty packed, good condition and looking hot! I am in the deal phase with my friend, and he tells me he can give me about what I owe on my trade in car. This is actually a surprise, since my car, although fully loaded, is a 2015 (Ford Fusion Hybrid) and I didn't expect that much of a trade in value. So... it's all good right!?

The appraiser comes back and says: "That car has been in an accident"

I told him to stop doing drugs during the work day, I bought it here, brand new, the only owner and I would sure as hell know if it was ever in an accident. He says: " Let me show you"

We walk out to the parking lot, look at my car, and he points out the hood is not quite closing, off kilter a bit. The headlight is askew as well. "WHAT THE F$#^!?" I say... Then he points it out.

At SOMETIME, SOMEONE, with a RUBBER bumper (because there was no scratch) very lightly backed in to my left front quarter panel, right where it meets with the drivers door. The damage is so slight, and at the exact position you really have to look for it, but it's enough to put the headlight and hood-alignment off kilter.... .... .....

So, now, before I do anything, I have to get my car fixed... ... .... And does this qualify to take away the "No accidents" certification of my car?

Is anyone... by any chance... going on a cruise that passes uninhabited islands you could drop me off on? PLEASE!?!?!?!?!

I am going to start drinking now.... I'll keep doing it for as long as I can then I will lock myself in my condo, and curl up in the fetal position in the kitchen where my trash compactor used to be.

Holy crap... I'm sorry, Paul. You've been unable to get break the last few days. Hopefully you can have this resolved, make the numbers work and enjoy your dream vehicle! The Lincoln is such a nice car, ideal for you. Keep us posted and hopefully these bad days come to an end.

Icon20 Three (3) Days in a row!? I WILL NEVER Give Up!

Have it fixed IMEDIATELY and get the Deal Done!

Don't spend any money on drinks, therapy or other vices. Put the money towards the repair.

Give the drink to the car appraiser. Then tell him he wrecked your car.

I'm a person who is intensely irritated by the small stuff but handles the big dramas pretty well. My biggest fear is that I will have a stroke over some minor irritation, that, whilst annoying, does not matter in the big scheme of things.
My mantra is:
Is this going to send me broke?
Will it end in divorce?
Is anyone seriously ill?
if the answer to all 3 is "No" then move on, Rocky!

We can't really count Paul being complimented on his escort as a bad thing.

But we can substitute in crashing the drone into the cell tower.
