wonder how they would even classify that? Their PC's are considered (by Patek anyway) to be grand complications, but this would be a nautilus.

They really need to come up with a new Perpetual movement that can be adjusted just using the screw down crown, needing pushers in a waterproof sports piece is not good enough.

Yes, I agree with this. Having to use a toothpick on tiny pushers in a sports model seems ridiculous. There are better ways to handle this.

Setting dates and moon phases are the worst.
I can’t imagine doing it on a PC.

The Skydweller hit a home run on setup with the command bezel.

Will surely be in PM if released as a Nautilus blue dial. I agree the PC needs to be more user friendly, it looks like a deteriorating market for PP so needs revitalising.

I’m not sure on a PC, but wholeheartedly agree in principle. Having to use a pusher on a watch that has nothing more to adjust than a date (I’m thinking in particular 5164, 5524, 5980 and 5990) isn’t good enough. If I’m wearing my 5980 just for a day or two I usually don’t bother setting the date.

A guess, or have you heard something?

Introducing a nautilus perpetual calendar would allow Patek to capitalise on the popularity of the Nautilus and be able to charge a higher price. But to what effect on the demand of the existing perp calendars I wonder.

Shaz is also predicting the discontinuation of the 5726A.

Actually this one it was a pure guess since the perpetual calendar is coming I thought they would discontinue the 5726 but it wasn't in the "2018 run-out" models...

If a PC is announced at Baselworld, it’ll not be hitting stores until late Autumn, at the earliest. Plenty of time remaining for Patek to announce the end of the 5726 reference.

If done right this would be a home run. Part of me thinks you shouldn’t mix a nautilus with a PC, but having seen how AP have done it I think it could work.

True. But there’s always the toothpick option

They should discontinue the 5726 and replace it with a nautilus version of the 5905.

They never announce a "run-out" model after Baselworld, usually the list is sent to retailers few weeks before... so we should see 5726 until at least next year.

Patek Philippe is my speciality ... my sources are solid, very solid.
I know already the reference number even 5xx0/1G-001 2 days more and everyone will see.

A perpetual calendar in stainless steel would be a unicorn. Coupled with it being a nautilus and you’d have people begging Patek to take their money.
