IMO, no modern day watch is an investment. I would buy to wear and enjoy. The ROC is a nice watch but I believe a distant third in popularity between the RO and ROO lines. If you like the look of the watch by all means go for it but this will not be a piece that increases in value over time

Sure it is definitely not as common as other references and different with the blue subdials and platinum bezel but for Me an AP RO-ROC-ROO should always have the brushed vertical lines on the bezel as it really makes it stand out. As for price I know of people who were offered a discount when preordering the piece so in 5 years figure you will certainly lose money if you pay list.
(I just saw that this piece was initially limited production and now has since changed to limited to 500. Maybe that makes a difference but when this was released there was not much buzz about this one. Best of luck in deciding)

I think at retail you shouldn't lose any money, any more is luck and depends on many other factors, including how tight greys are now on their bids, which bear no relation to their high asking prices, as they don't want you to make any profit, that's their job!
