New “Root Beer” should really be the “Espresso”?!

The only think linking this new model to the old is the brown portion of the bezel. The original Root Beer had a light brown dial and either all brown, or brown and yellow bezel. Not a black dial and black and brown bezel.

I’m calling this the espresso....even if nobody else does

PLEASE stop talking about it. Don’t hype it up. Leave it for us who are in love with this God awful release.

I agree 100%. When I saw it I thought "I wonder what nickname they will come up with for this". Just as Kermit and Hulk are different, this isn't a Rootbeer imo...

Well it’s dark and brown...I’m going with espresso. I’d say ‘dandelion and burdock’ but I don’t think many folks would know what that is. Also it’s less catchy.

It was and always will be the Root Beer! Maybe Root Beer Ceramic, but Root Beer none the less!

Absolutely the ugliest watch I’ve ever seen, anyone with taste will not bother calling their AD to inquire about this abomination! I for one will not be obsessed with it’s rich Hughes and deep...beautiful...dare I say gorgeous earthy undertones!!! Perhaps my AD lost their mind when they threatened me with a Restraining order for stalking them this morning!!! Hehehe!!!

But....it’s not the same colours as the root beer! It’s in rose gold for a start, and it’s black and brown, not yellow and brown. I don’t think this really qualifies as simply a ceramic reissuing of the root beer.

It's the Milky Way (as in the candy bar) or as my fiancee calls it "caramel"

I guess I was going on the black and more coffee coloured brown. Caramel works too!

Lol! Your preaching to the choir here buddy, as I don’t disagree with your points at all!

Yet...every single. Thread that has referenced this model since it’s release today...has referred to it as what? The Root Beer...that’s what!

Just is what it is...nothing more...nothing less! Your welcome to try and change it, but I assure you it will remain true to its Root Beer Roots!

I don’t know what it will look like in the sunshine - but that is where the original root beer shone.

Now this new thing isn’t a root beer.

It’s more like a Charred Toasted Marshmallow. A CTM GMT...
