I love omega.

But I’m not impressed there either.

Basically one watch I like overall. Unless we are including Patek, but that’s another story.

That 1948 looks beautiful but didn't you see how thick it is!! Is that because of the co-axial movement? That kind of ruined it for me.

Rolex and Tudor blew away the Omega releases. We received 2 new GMT movements (similar base) to start, first next gen Rolex GMT 3285. Brand new DSSDs with further insight into the direction of future of Subs. New DJ36, which is a classic.

The last rainbow Daytona went $350k+, so that’s not really a production piece

Each of those Omegas just makes me think of how much they drop in value as soon as you purchase.

Because of my love for my old Bond Seamaster that i had for years and passed to a family member i am loathed to be negative about Omega but suffice to say that they do seem to release too many special editions and that hit when you trade or sell is hard to stomach,,,

I wouldn't say they blew it out of the park but I think they had a very solid Basel world. It's between the new Seamaster 300 professional and the Tudor black bay 58 for my 2 favorites. I like them for different reasons so it's a hard choice. I don't like how everyone is going with a Pepsi bezel now as only I only think of Rolex with that bezel combo.

Rolex had an ok Basel but I think its weird for them to screw over the WG BLRO owners by doing a SS version with only a changed bracelet. At least the SS Skydweller had different hour markers. The jubilee bracelet is nice but it should be more an option and not the standard. If you could switch between a oyster and jubilee then it would be great. It seems they changed the lugs so you can't do that very thing which is just terrible. At least Omega gets that people want strap options and gives you the freedom to do that with a full catalog of rubber straps, NATO's, leather etc..

That is a super nice looking watch.

OP: It's good to have options.

I'm not particularly a big fan of the moon watch. But this 44.25 Racing master coaxial is badass. I think I got the first one on the ground in the US 2 weeks ago.

I haven't even had a chance to look at Omega's releases.
Been too caught up on Rolex and Patek.

Nice looking Speedmaster, I actually like the look more than the white Daytona. Will have to check that one out

Never been a fan of that style seamaster.

Like the 1948, and the the railmaster is great, but that was shown before Basel.

Big meh on the Rolex front as well. Yeah, the BLRO is very exciting, but it's divisive.

Doesn't really matter though. Rolex is Rolex and no matter what they do, it will be bigger news than anything Omega does. This is coming from a huge Omega fan.

For grins I popped over to Omega’s site and had nearly the opposite reaction. I liked more new models than I disliked. The new Seamaster 300 is a nice evolution but the 1948 Seamaster limited editions blow me away. There may very well be one in my future.

I guess the next step in my collection may be to Omega. I hope Rolex is listening.
I took a look myself and share your sentiments. I'll have to admit to being a sucker for blue dial stainless & gold watches, but wow - this one is inspirational!

Omega has a ONE perfect watch: The Speedmaster.
Rolex are perfect (DJ, SUB, GMT, DAYTONA, YATCH, SKY, DD). IMO

I agree. Rolex does NOT need to cater to the crowd, it moves at its own pace. Thats the solidity and legacy of the Crown and why resale is so strong.

Oh btw, Im surprised Omega didnt release the " Pink Side Of the Moon" or the ' purple side of the moon". They released all the colors anyway, of EVERY side of the moon
