Icon3 Visited the Pru in Boston, 'rare' @ Tourneau

I find these stores rather stuffy generally but decided to pop in after a wonderful dinner at the Oak room @ Park Plaza...

The last time I was in this store they told me it was impossible to crack a ceramic bezel... ..

I noticed what looked like an Oysterquartz! I had never seen one in person, but I also noted it was not running.. I told my girlfriend that perhaps it's one of those rare automatic watches in similar case to that of an O.Q.... The employee who was leaning up against the wall behind me chimed in and said 'Absolutely, that is what it is, very rare' Then he walked away... ? haha.

I figured you guys would get a kick out of the sighting.. I was going to ask how much they wanted but the gentleman sales person vanished.. and the only other salesman was busy selling a Patek so I figured he would have me wait a few

If it's still there when I head back into town, I'll see what they are asking for it.. I find it quite novel!

I admit I barely knew the oddities existed and I profess no absolute knowledge of them. Perhaps some knowledgable members can chime in and tell us how rare/special if at all the sighting is.

Cheers!

Sorry about spelling etc, just trying to rush this post to get back to work~!

The Copley Torneau is one of the few that I enjoy.

Panerai, Patek, A. Lange & Sohne, Breilting, used Rolex, very upscale.

I usually go just to look at the Pateks :)

They have a YM there I wonder how much they're asking for it.

I work up the street as well but always go there to look only. Sometimes have a nice selection but staff not never the best.

Well folks! Looks like we are all poking in there, I suggest we have a GTG at the top of the hub or something. We can all take a field trip and overwhelm them haha..

Although I am not in the USA this forum has made me quite aware of the existence of Tourneau (I don't even know how to pronounce it properly ) but in a bad way

These lost souls..."sales persons" at TOUR-NO (Never)
...are only making 10 bucks an hour !
So they deliver a service in perfect analogy with the commensuration..

The one at the Burlington Mall is pretty good. Selection isn't the best but the people are really nice (and a few of the sales girls are so so hot).

Yeah, a TRF "flash mob." To really flip them out, just chant "LGRS, LGRS...."

Note: "LGRS" is short for "Let's Go Red Sox."

OOhhh, I hate that one...the moment I walked in last time, I got:

" Sir, you NEED a Rolex on your wrist! "

Gag, he didn't even bother to see I already had one on my wrist...

A used/worn 5 year old SS Daytona in the window at $15,000 - come on...I know someone (fool) will buy it, but we're WISs, we know better.

I posted in the GTG section and there are a few people interested in an October GTG. Let me know if you're interested.
