I've been known to wrap freshly cleaned watches in clingfilm before giving them the secure spongebox treatment. An alternative to throwing a cloth over them for you fellas.

Rolex's synthetic sapphire crystal has got to be about a 9 on the Mohs hardness scale. The foam padding in Pelican cases has to be less than 1 since it won't scratch a mineral with a hardness of 1. Unless you are throwing a handful of loose diamonds in the case before you shut it, I think your watches will be fine.

Pelican cases are among the best. You can store anything from metals and jewelry to glass or art, so no need to worry about the foam scratching. To stop pressure, what you may want to consider is turning the watches face down and putting them on something smaller so that they close with clasp to a smaller diameter.
Congrats! |

Hi guys!
I currently use a cheap watch box purchased on amazon and something is bothering me: The cushions are loose between the walls cause there is a gap on each side, they are not squeezed in-between. I end up having my watches rolling around. For those who have a Peli case with pre-cut cushions, is the cushion tight and blocked? |

Personally I store watches in old wool socks and put in my safe until use. I use a magic market to identify which watch is in each sock.
Use same system for expensive Hasselblad photo equipment. No problems although I admit to not being a loupe user. |

If you buy a Blancpain Fifty Fathoms, it come in a pelican case. Pretty cool.

That's quite a clever disguise, but I think Dewalt would also attract some thieves as Dewalt is easy to pawn. Maybe change that sticker to read "Human Specimen" or "Hazardous Materials." That will certainly repel all would-be thieves except for the ultra-freaky.
