Congrats on the wedding! I had a similar experience with my DJ. Received it as a wedding present, decided to take off all stickers the night before the wedding. The day after the wedding I noticed a "X" mark on one of the lugs, no idea how it got there. Used to bother me but now I kind of like it, makes the watch more special and personal to me especially since it happened on my wedding night!

Enjoy in good health!

As Peter said, this is the kind of thing that you pay Rolex to remedy at your service intervals...

You will get billed for it whether you scratch your watch or not.

Happy for you it was not on the watch case or bezel

Take it into Rolex or a good watchmaker, either one will give you an outcome to remedy the situation.

Thank goodness it is only a minor battle scar
In all honesty I was quite disappointed when his crystal wasn't shattered into a million pieces after opening this thread.

Keep the scratch as a memory to remind you of your wedding.

But now I'm curious. How did you get that big of a scratch in a limo?

This, sir, is the best story to be reminded of when looking at that scratch.

Imagine picking up a scratch like this walking into a doctor's office, or a mechanic shop, or even work!

Enjoy the watch and enjoy looking at that damage. It will put a smile on your face every time.

Congrats on the wedding!

No big deal and easily removed with a synthetic steel wool pad. Only takes a couple minutes.

enjoythemusic,
Definitely instruct RSC to leave that link only alone when you send it for your 4.9 year service. Then don't wear until your 5 year anniversary... repeat, etc., and when you are 80 you will have one awesome beat up watch. :-)

GaryG,

Why didn't anyone ever warn me about tucking in my shirt? My M serial Pepsi is probably down $1K (paper value, as though I would ever sell) just from jeans' zipper. :-b

ANSWER:
It is not how big it is, but in how... Oh who are we kidding, it's big.
