Any thoughts on how the new Chronergy escapement compares to Omega’s coaxial?

Nice, it's finished with a little more care and variation than I'd have thought... could go to open casebacks one day if the market so demands.

I actually feel like it's *more* industrial looking than the 3186. I liked the perlage on the plates and bridges of the 3186. This feels even less decorated to me.

I personally love the look of the 32×× movements, but that could be because I'm bored from looking at the 31××

This movement looks great. Might just be your image but it seems more finished and refined. Markings look nice as well.

I love that the balance bridge finish matches the adjacent plates. The new rotors are also a huge improvement both in looks and construction. Are they MIM, cast or machined from billet? I haven't seen one in person to inspect how they're made. It looks like thinner areas are blasted and the surface has a snailed finish. Beyond that I can't see much else. |

Agree, perlage on that bridge is very nice, apart from the word perlege which has been taken by some sugar-free chocs I am half-forced to eat.

Makes me wonder how similar it is to the Tudor GMT... Haven't heard much about how that was developed, but the specs sound quite similar. I'm sure it's not the same, but I have to wonder if Rolex lent a hand in its development?
