Icon20 Signed Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch

Hi All,

I have the opportunity to buy a Speedmaster Moonwatch from an AD. The box is signed by one of the Apollo Astronauts. Price would be $4400. Is the “cool factor” of the signature worth it or could a much better price be had without the signature?

Give us the specific model and if new or pre-owned. For a new Speedmaster Profession with the plastic crystal that is in line for new with a discount.

I think thats kinda neat. You get a great watch, and a part of history too. Seems like a reasonable mark up based on the signature. Who specifically signed it?

If you visit NASA in FL, there's an ever-rotating 'crew' of astronauts there signing things gratis. Of course it depends who signed it, yet generally there's little additional value imho. Was it worn during a mission in space, with solid documentation, as that adds value? Did the signatury astronaut own the watch, again needs solid documentation? So we need more details, who signed it, and does it come with photo of said astronaut signing it? Have had the honor of meeting quite a few at NASA over the years, very wise, humble, and patient personnel. So the sig is cool, yet we need more details as usually there's very little added value unless certain factors play a key role (in-space mission worn, for example).

If your talking about a speedy pro moon watch, that's a deal. Grab it while you can.
