yea I know but here in Toronto there’re no boutiques so a select handful of ADs will get the treatment, at least that’s how they told me. |

My boutique won't be getting ANY this year it seems, thats the one in King of Prussia, PA. There were definitely major covid delays with this specific piece...oh well, still looking forward to mine whenever it comes...

Imagine Porsche releasing an old 911, complete with 30y/o engine (but new), and you get the idea. |

Got it. The hodinkee article I read on it said that it wasn’t a special edition though?
So there’s an updated movement, bracelet and the lugs are different. Aside from the fake patina I think it’s a cool looking watch. In true omega fashion I’ll pick one up 30-40% off msrp haha. I never pay attention the omega msrp, they are the anti Rolex when it comes to msrp |

True. I’m just confused what’s going on with the 3570 speedmaster. I owned one, sold it a few years ago and now was checking them out again. I saw some threads where they claimed the 3570 was discontinued. I thought the 321 was a replacement until I saw the 14k price tag. Any chance the updated 3570 has the new bracelet ? That’s really my only wish for the 3570, I was not a fan at all of that bracelet... |

As above, don’t think you’ll get any discount on the new Ed White. |

I have heard rumors the bracelet will be redesigned. But they are exactly that: rumors. |

Not necessarily - it it’s the way omega are heading though. They are trying to complete with Rolex and you can’t necessarily do that with hesalite and aluminium. You need to provide a premium product for a premium price tag. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

The only thing most people are sure is going to happen is the updated movement.

Sorry - exactly why am I ‘wrong’. It’s the obvious step. Why develop the 3861 otherwise.
It’s also exactly where omega are going and makes sense given their latest pricing. Interested to her your thoughts rather than a one liner saying I am wrong. The Move to 3861 has been obvious since the release in the Apollo watches. |

Because a plastic crystal has no place on a modern luxury watch. Maybe I’m wrong, but why in gods name would you do it if you are trying to move into Rolex shoes. It wouldn’t make much sense. Maybe they will, but they are moving to ceramic bezels and spapphire recently for the new speedies and would expect the same here

a valid point, i hope thats not the case. I like ceramic materials in some pieces, but i think a history should be respect in a good way too

Yeah, I agree to an extent. Let’s see what happens! Maybe they’ll keep a more original version of the speedy which would suit many

The Hesalite Speedy Pro is the only constant in Omega's collection, and has been for decades, compared to the rest of the watches which changes design every few years, based on fashion trends. Certified for manned space flight. They would be crazy to touch that in any meaningful way. The 3861 is a very different movement compared to the 1861. And hesalite in particular is an essential part of a moonwatch, I would never want a saphire version. |
