Is it a possibility to even see a 9300 movement in a smaller case?

I absolutely LOVE (dial, date, etc) the 44.25mm 9300 Speedmaster, however it looks too large on my 7" wrist and I was curious and hoping to see that movement in a smaller case.

Is it even a possibility to see Omega release a smaller version (41-42mm) of the Speedmaster Date with the 9300 movement?

Possible. Doesn't mean it will happen though. I feel like Omega is trying to differentiate the 42mm Speedmasters and trying to keep them as true to the original moon watch as possible. In my opinion, part of that is keeping the 1861 (or some variant thereof) in them. We'll just have to wait and see if anything changes!

I really wish Omega would make the 9300 Speedmaster with the same case design as the Professional. Also, it starts really tall on the wrist because of the dome crystal back.

The lugs on the 44.25mm look better than the long, straight lugs on the '57 version. If there was an Omega with the exact looks as the 44.25 in a 41-42mm case, I'd be all in!

The 9300 movement is thick. The larger, 44mm case better balances the thickness than the 41mm case of the Speedy 57.

In fact, I think the 44mm Speedy wears very well on the wrist despite being very large on paper.

I'do love to see some wrist shots of your 44mm Speedy Wes...how big is your wrist?

I have a 6.5" wrist and liked the fit of the 9300 44.25mm Speedy. In fact I've been tempted to get it again (sold when I moved up to an AP). The lugs mean a lot and the bracelet somewhat improves the look of a bigger watch because the end of the case and start of the bracelet isn't distinct like a strap. The comments about the lugs of the speedy 57 are true and I like the look of the bigger case much better. At 7" I think you have plenty of wrist to wear it, but it may also be bigger than what you're used to seeing. It is thick but hat never bothered me. And for reference, I wear a 39mm ROC, 40mm VCOC, 40mm PAM 121 so I don't typically go for oversized watches.
