Icon14 Unique Planet Ocean 8500

Absolutely love the transformation.

I started by swapping the bracelet with the vulcanised rubber strap (designed for the 2500 which fits beautifully). This halved the weight and resulted in the watch being extremely comfortable to wear.

The next obvious change is the orange bezel insert. You read that correctly - I did say insert. It IS possible to purchase and change without buying an entirely new bezel. I feel doing this has really brightened the watch up - loving the contrast.

Omega purists may turn their noses up - as you can't purchase an orange bezel/white number combination. But I just love the uniqueness.

Love to know what you guys think!

Looks sharp IMHO! How difficult is it to change the insert?

Wasn't difficult for me at all. Different story for the watchmaker at the Jewellers though. I ordered it from an official Omega stockist and their watchmaker swapped it over upon arrival... Apparently it's a difficult task removing a PO bezel. Turned out great though! Costs roughly £50 for the aluminium insert.

It's incredibly easy to remove.. he didn't have the proper tools nor training. Hope he didn't damage anything underneath the bezel.

Looks sweet!

I put one of those straps on my Ti PO. Feels like I'm wearing one of my G-Shocks

You can buy new bezel inserts? I thought you had to buy the whole bezel.

Putting a rubber strap on my PO 8500 was the best move. It is so much more comfortable and wear so much lighter. And it is attractive to boot.

Nice setup with the orange bezel.
