Rolex Daytona vs Perpetual and prices...need help!
Hi, this is my first post. But, after having my Rolex Oyster Datejust being stolen a few months back I am looking into another Rolex and I settled on a Daytona. Unfortunately, can't find a new one. I did find one that is a Daytona Stainless Steel 2011 make white face, "mint" condition for $10,900 not through an AD. I was wondering if that is a fair price or am I paying too much? I'm not sure if I should go with this or get my old watch which was a Rolex oyster perpetual datejust with fluted bezel, mother of pearl face, diamond hour markers and jubilee bracelet, stainless steel for 9500, MSRP is 11500.
Feedback would be greatly appreciated. I am really liking the Daytona though. A new one would be divine. Does anyone have any insight as to where I can find a new one? |

Welcome to TRF.
Both of these are pretty different so I would say I think you should try one on first regardless of where you buy it from. If nothing else at least try on a TT Daytona at your nearest AD first as SS Daytona's don't tend to be on display. You could always check out whats availible on this forum from one of the trusted sellers.

How do I know who one of the "trusted" sellers are?
I am really in the market for a new Daytona SS white dial. If I can find it, I would definitely get it over an Oyster. Obviously, through an AD is preferred. |

I presume the Daytona is a random serial? Depending on the condition you can probably negotiate a few $ off.
Good luck! |

Welcome to the Forum and be patient...as stated go and try on the Daytona to see if it really is the watch you want. As for the trusted sellers here there are a few of them so check out the For Sale section and their feedback from happy satisfied customers. It would be improper to list them in the open Forum so just do a little research and you will be fine!!!

there is also a feedback forum. the "trusted sellers" show up there with high frequency.
