Apple Watch??? Bah humbug!

So I read that the upcoming Apple watch will be priced around $5,000 for the 18kt model. Is anyone planning to get one?

Not interested in it, gold or steel. I have an IPhone, Ipad, Mac.. but I see no reason to get their watch. I have several I spent more than 5k on already.

I voted regular model, because I might get one for exercising applications, but it isn't very high on my list even for a regular model.

No Way on the 18kt model.....That's Rolex Money

I was thinking of getting one to maybe replace my Gshock, ie. Excercise/outdoor work applications. So no gold, but I'm not sure what will the regular one be priced at. Also was considering just getting a Fitbit or something to wear with my Gshock for notifications and stuff, which would probably suit all my needs rather than. a smart watch.

$349 is a no brainer for a gps watch, anyone who runs this is a bargain as it will probably be more accurate than a garmin

The smart watch thing doesn't interest me and frankly I just don't get the whole concept. It won't do anything better than my phone already does and I still need my phone to make phone calls, so what's the point of them? So wearing one avoids the inconvenience of going into my pocket to pull out my phone - gee whiz, who could live without that improvement in the quality of life?

Not on my radar. I wouldn't get an Apple smartwatch for reasons previously stated. Besides, I don't want a quartz watch. I happen to like my mechanical watches.

Hi there !

Although I love my mechanical watches, I see some allure / value to the Apple Watch!

Is not about what faces you, but what rest bellow (under) them, The Sensors ...
As we get older priorities shift in life, and usually, the wealthiest persons are the ones that do "the more careful, larger (investments) buys...

As the watch media bombardment of adds begins, a lot of people will start to realize what the watch is really about (what we know and more).

Plus there are higher end models for those who care ... The engine, module, I believe will be exchangable prolonging the useful life of the watch...

So at the end of the day the choices will be " Health versus Wealth ".

Just saying ...

Cheers.

I think it will be a pretty fun little toy to play with.
It will be a good little accessory (sport version) to have while working out.
