Are you going to take make room for an iWatch?

Now that the reviews are out... and seems to be pretty decent.

Would you make room on your rotation for one?

Personally I may get the sports addition to play round, definitely not the Gold. But needing to charge overnight, every night will get boring, very quickly I think.

No I have zero interest in the Apple Watch. If I need anything besides the time and date that's what my phone is for.

I have multiple Apple toys including Macbook Pro, iPad & iPhone but I'm not touching that iWatch thing. No thank you, not for me.

I'm going to buy one to mess around with but it certainly won't get significant time in rotation.

i'm planning on staying mechanical, as the iPhone does all i need and i struggle to not check it all the time, and an iWatch would make things worse in that sense.

but, if i were to get one, i don't see how it can be part of a "rotation"....it's not like people carry phones around some of the time. if one wants the functionality of the iWatch on the wrist, i don't see how it won't monopolize wrist time.

I've said in many threads here that I am interested in one, mostly as a gym item, but also for work when I feel like I need those constant notifications. I think as phones get bigger (I have a 6 plus), they also seem to spend less time on my body and more time on the desk or in a bag, and just pulling it out to constantly check on things is cumbersome.

I'm a bit hesitant to buy this first generation version, as we've seen with a lot of apple products a lot of kinks are worked out in the 2nd generation and beyond. It's not terribly expensive (the sports model), so I may go for this first version

Why not.

It's just one more toy.

No way, I'm trying to use my phone as less as possible so won't buy something which makes the bonds stronger between the user and all this electronics

I don't this so. It's just something else that is a source of distraction. My phone drives me crazy enough with constant calls/emails.

I can see the merit in a sports model but my gym has multiple clocks and screens with the time.

No, absolutely and definitely no. More, if I ever get one as a gift I will sell it immediately. I don't have the slightest interest in any smartwatch and personally I can't stand Apple as a brand, so...

I'll pick one up but not as a substitute for my watches. With an advertised 18hr reserve, how could it?

Soon in the movies James Bond will wear an iWatch. Omega, watch out, your turn to get dumped.

Love the 6+

Initially thought it would be too big but it's very usable.

Not for me, despite being a fully fledged gadget geek. I just picked up a Garmin Vivosmart to go on my non-watch wrist that gives me notifications and tracks activities and they're the only functions of the iWatch that appealed.

I will be interested if the battery last 5-7 days, or they make a solar / kinetic version of it.

I am not a fan of charging my watch everyday. My iPhone already got me to do that everyday. I don't even have to charge my car (500e) everyday, LOL
