1655 or 16520
A BNIB 16520 cost about the same as a moderately good condition 1655 in the used market.
If they'd cost the same, which would you pick? |

1655, fewer of them and i'm no fan of the modern daytona
but of a 116520 and a 16520 i'd go 16520 and get the bracelet brushed.

1655 is more unique.

My gripe with the Daytona is no Date and I've had a handful of them over the years. I finally got my 1655 2 months ago after searching for 14 years (right price right time). I'll never let it go.

I think the 1655 is a more interesting watch and far less "baggage" ;-)
On top of that, it is actually fairly easy to tell time from it! |

I guess it really depends on which series of Daytona. If it was a Mk1 16520, then I would go for that. Otherwise, I would decide on the 1655. Both different characters.
