1655 or 16520

A BNIB 16520 cost about the same as a moderately good condition 1655 in the used market.
If they'd cost the same, which would you pick?

1655, fewer of them and i'm no fan of the modern daytona

but of a 116520 and a 16520 i'd go 16520 and get the bracelet brushed.

My gripe with the Daytona is no Date and I've had a handful of them over the years. I finally got my 1655 2 months ago after searching for 14 years (right price right time). I'll never let it go.

I think the 1655 is a more interesting watch and far less "baggage" ;-)

On top of that, it is actually fairly easy to tell time from it!

I guess it really depends on which series of Daytona. If it was a Mk1 16520, then I would go for that. Otherwise, I would decide on the 1655. Both different characters.

Now we're talking apples & oranges from a price standpoint......

I have both.

The 1655 gets much more wrist time!
