New Watch Recommendations
Hello All,
I am considering picking up a new piece and am after some possible options / opinions. For background, I currently own a 116710 5167a. I have previously owned a 116610lv 15400st 116520. What I am hoping to achieve is a watch that is slightly dressier, but the main aim is to find a watch I can change straps on. As you can see I've always had watches with bracelets, so looking for something a bit different. Budget wise: trying to keep it reasonably affordable, really hoping in the 5k range, 8k is where I will max out on this piece. From my own research I am currently floating at some nomos models. Nomos is a good choice. The other that comes to mind is Glashutte Original. I think the GO Observer is a great value. The other is a GO panomatic or GO panoreserve. These list for about 11 or 12k but you can get a decent discount to about 8k

Take a look at the Zenith Captain Central Second. I think was either 5.4k or 5.8k when I was looking at it a month ago.
GO Senator Sixties is a great one too, but a little out of you budget at 9k.

I would look at JLC or IWC for something on a strap in that price range.

I would be looking at JLC. There are quite a few stainless steel models in your budget - more if you can negotiate a discount. Glashutte Original are also worth checking out.
Some examples of watches I would consider: http://www.jaeger-lecoultre.com/GB/e...te/1548470#/t1 http://www.jaeger-lecoultre.com/GB/e...39/1368420#/t1 http://www.jaeger-lecoultre.com/GB/e...me/162847N#/t1 http://www.glashuette-original.com/c...9-47-13-12-04/ |

Thanks for the suggestions - guys really helpful!
So far I am gravitating towards jlc master ultra thin 38 or the GS sbgr061. I would say the jlc is slightly up the list due to thickness (I prefer thinner watches) I am going to be in Japan in August. Is the GS hard to source. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
