Yup, if Alpino, Ken or Mike say something I take it very seriously.

Thanks Alpino
I had heard this from my local AD, when we discussed the new DD40. Glad to hear it's confirmed.

Got another year, but if waited 3 months would have gotten 3 more. Thanks Rolex.

More reason to buy Rolex

I had heard from a very reliable source that it will be 3 year warranty for any Rolex purchased from 2013 and later. Rolex will announce sometime in the very near future.

If this is true, and since I'm within the 90 day return period, I may just have my AD "re-ring" my 1 week old NIB with stickers Sub Hulk on July 1st, to bring it up to the longer warranty.

But Ben Bridge jewelers already offers an extra year on my Exp II and Hulk, at no extra charge just for buying from them.

I wonder why they are doing this. They are known for not being particularly kind and generous.
Price increase ? Did they detect a potential issue ? Kill used maket by changing warranty rules ?

Might have some affect on gray dealers but for anyone who does the research and understands what they are doing the cost savings are still more advantageous then the added coverage. JMHO

I am planning to buy ss lady DJ within this three months.

Should I buy it before 1st July to avoid price increase or wait for 5 years warranty?

There is no price increase announced at this point. I would buy it July 1st just in case!

I would swing by your dealer and put a deposit down around the 28th and tell them you wish to wait until the 1st for delivery due to the new warranty. Maybe they would honor your asking price seeing as they didn't pay the new # on it and that's not a high demand model

I always doubt price increases.

Reporting as Retroactive for all watches sold between 1 July 2013 and 30 June 2015, the Rolex International Warranty is extended for an additional one year for a total of a 3-year warranty :)

Beginning 1 July 2015, the Rolex International Warranty will more than double from its current 2-year warranty to a 5-year warranty from the date of purchase. Retroactive for all watches sold between 1 July 2013 and 30 June 2015, the Rolex International Warranty is extended for an additional one year for a total of a 3-year warranty. Designed for longevity, Rolex has an extensive network of authorised retailers and service centers in over 100 countries around the world.

This unprecedented move by the Swiss watchmaker is a game changer, and sets a new industry standard for luxury watches.

So if you want the full five years you need to buy beginning on July 1st. I am glad to see an actual source.
