Today - 1 year Anniversary - D-Blue

My quick thoughts: Still LOVE IT! Have not grown tired of it.

The other moderately priced watches I do own have not received any wrist time with the exception of my inexpensive Gill Yacht Master which I sometimes use boating or working out. I just love wearing the D-Blue, really, on any occasion. Sometimes getting dressed for an evening out I think OK I’ll wear one of my 40mm models for slimmer dressier look but I end up leaving the house with the D-Blue. I think the size just feels right for me. I have a 44m Luminox Deep Dive and it wears big and heavy. The Rolex Deep Sea is just designed and put together so much nicer and fits so well on my wrist. Before getting one, a concern I had was I thought the bracelet was to narrow. I’ve completely changed my opinion on that. I thought I’d have the RubberB on this long ago and have yet to do it.. Perhaps I will someday as a change but for now I really like the bracelet look.

Anyway, still very happy with my decision to acquire this watch. I’ve been getting my monies worth in wrist time.

Had mine for just over 7 months. Agree that have not grown tired of it but will also add that I've grown to love it more and more. I abuse mine and it's an absolute tank

Yeah, there's definitely something about the way Rolex is shaped, balanced and constructed that it just sits right on the wrist in a way other brands can't.

Nice watch!

A very nice watch. There's one sitting at an AD I visit occasionally and as much as I want it it's just to thick for me sadly. Maybe I'll talk myself into it

Stunning watch and a beast. Glad that you still love it and so you should. Not really heard of people buying them and then growing tired of them and flipping them.

Buying and deciding they are to big or to heavy yes, but not growing tired of one.

I recommend having the diver extension removed by the RSC - wears SO much nicer, doesnt sit as top heavy off centre and wraps more around the wrist.

Thanks for all the nice comments guys!

The watch has always fit well especially when I removed the divers extension and re-aligned the links. So for me it would be a matter of would I get sick of it or bored vs. not fitting or to big.

I also really like the thickness. Part of what I like about it's beastly character.

Thanks again guys. Its been a lot of fun wearing it.

Not very often, but from time to time I get interesting comments from people. One happened this past Monday in a very unlikely place; at an old friend's mothers Wake. Going through the family receiving line I get to my friends children and his son who's 26 and recently married says "Nice Sea Dweller!" I guess the kid is like his dad. His dad was sporting a gold GMT Master. Never know when/where someone will comment.. :)
