hi i have a tudor aqua from the 1950's. in post ww2 watches were classed as a luxury and as such there were import restrictions imposed movements were imported and cased by australian companies this particular watch was cased by J W Handley in melbourne it has a calibre 1182 eta movement.

Very nice. Do you have a photo? There are a few Handley and Hantily cased watches in the Vintage section (to where I just moved your post) if you do a search.

J W Handley also made fishing reels and their old address points to 655 Victoria St, Richmond/Abbotsford. There's apartments there now with the iconic Skipping Girl neon sign.
